The woman who died following a motorcycle accident in Aiken County has been identified by the Aiken County Coroner’s Office. On Thursday, coroner Darryl Ables identified the victim as Jenny Massey, 65, a resident of Leesville According to authorities, the collision happened on July 16 at approximately 4 p.m. on New Holloand Road close to Toy Road in the Wagener region of Aiken County.
Officials claim that Massey hit another motorcycle while operating a 2015 Harley Davidson. She was taken to Prisma Health Richland, where she suffered injuries and passed away on July 18.
According to officials, a toxicological analysis is still pending. The incident is still under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Aiken County Coroner’s Office.
The memorial service for Jenny Massey will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 23rd at Milton Shealy Funeral Home (115 Pine St, Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29006) with Rev. Eddie Tager officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 3:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. A gathering of her friends will be held at Zeddies in Lexington located at 203 US 378 Lexington, SC following the service. — with Butch Whittle.
