Arranmore GAA released the following statement on Facebook – ” Deeply saddened this evening to hear of the sad passing of Alec Brown. A true gentleman who brought character, enthusiasm and many’s a great tune every time he travelled with us to the other islands of Ireland.
We have some fantastic memories of Alec, whether it be piping teams onto the pitch or playing a tune in the pub afterwards, he always entertained. Our deepest condolences to Maria, Teresa, Callum and Alec’s extended family on their loss. He will be a massive miss. Rest in peace Alec.”
