Authorities are investigating after one person was injured at Lane County Fair shooting. The shooting occurred Friday July 21, 2023 in the parking lot outside the Lane County Fair, according to Eugene Police.
Police and medics responded just before 9 p.m. to reports of gunshots outside the fairgrounds, according to a news release. A man who had been shot was treated by medical personnel at Friendly and 16th before being taken to a hospital. The man’s age or health status were not disclosed by the police.
Although a suspect has not been named by police, they believe they have already departed the region. What precipitated the shooting was not immediately clear.
