Michael Tveit has passed away, Michael unexpectedly died in his sleep on July 21st, 2023. Michael’s passing was recently shared online by loved ones. Tveit has coached as a member of the Warroad Boys Highschool Hockey coaching staff. Tveiter was loved by everyone he came in contact with.
Michael left behind is lovely wife, Darnell Tveit and their three boys Carson, Cooper and Cullen. Tveit family and loved ones are saddened at the news of Tveit passing.
Sandra Kruse shared a tribute on Facebook – “Such a heavy loss of such an amazing young man. Growing up, my nephew Michael Tveit brought smiles and laughter. Just 3 weeks ago at the family reunion n Warroad, we all sat around the campfire, chatting joking laughing together. It brought back a flood of memories of camping together Cass Lake, Bemidji State and the always infamous Zipple Bay! Where the fires were big and the Ole Lena jokes flew! Thanks Gary.
And we gathered together to laugh and enjoy the outdoors and happy we survived another outdoor adventure! Over the years our families got together on the farmstead in Glyndon and the cousins always had a great time! Back to school parties were an annual event and for my son Tim’s 13th birthday Michael smiled as he watched Tim rip into a whole lobster! And two weeks ago while Michael and Darnell were in Breckenridge for Coopers Junior Black Belt test, a nervous but proud father called me to talk about TKD and all the hard work and dedication it takes! Not sure I’ve ever talked that long with my nephew but throughout our chat it was obvious how proud he was of each of his boys as he talked about each one and what they were up to.
And I had a chance to thank him for calling and tell him how proud and happy I am for him and his family! And what a great dad he is. Cullen, Cooper, Carson, Darnell. My thoughts and prayers are with you and I know, together with family and friends you will keep the campfires going.”
