Rick Murray has sadly passed away. Rick passed away July 22, 2023 at the hospital. According to a post made on Pawtuckaway Trading Post Facebook page, on Friday, aboard the Yellowbird charter, Rick Murray had a sudden medical emergency. He was airlifted off of the vessel in dire hopes to save his life at the hospital.
Pawtuckaway Trading Post Facebook post reads – “Yesterday at PTP, we were both shocked, and saddened to hear of the loss of another local legend gone way too soon.
On Friday, aboard the Yellowbird charter, crew member Rick Murray had a sudden medical emergency. He was airlifted off of the vessel in dire hopes to save his life at the hospital. Rick unfortunately didn’t make it.
Rick Murray was a great friend to PTP, along with being an avid Hunter, Fisherman, Lobsterman. No matter what he was involved in, he was that type of guy who had to perfect it to his advantage. In short, he was great at whatever it was he was currently doing.
To the best of our knowledge, nobody saw this coming. You just never know when yours, or a loved ones time is up. We do find some comfort in the fact, that when Rick’s time came up, he was doing what he did best. Living his life to the fullest… perfecting it as he did it.
He will be missed by us, and of course missed by all those who knew him.
