Delaware State Police identified the man killed following a deadly crash near Bethel early this morning that killed one man. The victim was identified as 27-year-old John Littleton of Seaford.
Police say a 2017 white Ford Fiesta was heading eastbound on Shell Bridge Road west of South Shell Bridge Road at 2:15 a.m. Sunday. bThe Ford was apparently approaching an S-curve at high speed when it lost control and drove off the south edge of the road.
The Ford then collided with a rising embankment, which caused it to fly for an unknown distance before coming to a stop against the railing.
The driver, 27-year-old John Littleton of Seaford, was thrown from the moving vehicle. He was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.
