Candace McCulley Kehoe and her ex-husband, 27-year-old George Dakota Kehoe were found dead in a truck in Claremore Lake this morning. According to Claremore Police, evidence shows Candace died in a violent attack at the hands of Dakota last night.
Evidence indicates that Dakota attacked Candace violently last night, killing her. They claim that after shooting himself, he drove his truck into a lake, with Candace’s body inside. Around 11:30 last night, a witness spotted the trunk sinking and dialed 911.
Officers were already investigating since someone had flagged them down about the same time to report a suspected murder-suicide involving the Kehoes.
Candace and Dakota were recently involved in child-custody challenges, according to police. According to investigators, the children were safe at a family member’s house at the time of the deaths.
