An individual has sadly passed away after committing suicide at Champaign in Illinois. The incident happened on Monday July 24, 2023 at on I-74 westbound at Prospect Ave. Illinois State Police and other first responders were dispatched to the scene for report of a fatal suicide.
Traffic has been diverted to I-74 westbound exit Neil Street m.p. 181. Authorities urge the public to use caution driving through the area, as traffic could be slowed or stopped. The victims identity is unknown at this time. Investigation is ongoing. Further information will be provided when it becomes available.
