Officials have identified the man killed following Interstate 5 collision. Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Noah Beery, 26 of Oro Valley, Arizona. The tragic crash happened on Interstate 5 Tuesday afternoon. According to report, Noah was operating a Subaru SUV south on I-5, between Stuhr and Fink roads, when for unknown reason, he allowed the vehicle to enter the center median.
The Peterbilt tractor-trailer was struck by the Subaru after it toppled and into one of the northbound traffic lanes, according to the California Highway Patrol. Beery was declared dead on the scene.
A 50-year-old Los Banos man driving the Peterbilt was transferred to a Modesto hospital with minor wounds. According to the CHP, it did not appear that alcohol or drug use played a role in the incident.
