The Warwick Police Department have identified the man whose body was recovered from the waters of a beach in Warwick on Wednesday as 58-year-old Louis Diffley of Warwick.
Diffley was rescued from the seas at Buttonwood Beach on Wednesday.Investigators believe he had a medical episode while swimming with his family. His family reported him missing in the ocean, and he was subsequently found by lifeguards on duty.
Before rescue personnel arrived, lifeguards attempted ifesaving methods
Diffley was taken to Kent Hospital and later pronounced deceased.
