Harford County Sheriff’s Office have identified the victim killed in a deadly single-engine plane crash n a field in Havre De Grace. The victim was identified as Anthony W. Potts, 59, of Aberdeen, a retired U.S. Army Major General, a high-ranking military leader. The incident occurred Tuesday, July 25 in the 3600 of Old Level Road in Havre De Grace.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene after they received report of the crash. Crews checked the area and located the wreckage of a Piper PA-28 that crashed, according to the National Transportation Safety Board.
According to a US Army press release, Potts was a Major General assigned as the Program Executive Officer for Command, Control, and Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T) at Aberdeen Proving Ground. Potts recently resigned from the military.
