Authorities identified the 23-year-old man killed in a Thursday crash involving a moped and another vehicle in Malden, Massachusetts as Stiven Rojas Ramirez, 23, of Boston. The crash occurred Thursday in the area of 213 Broadway. Malden police Capt. Marc Gatcomb said two males were riding on a moped when they were struck by a vehicle.
A white Jeep Wrangler with what looks to be a moped underneath it was visible from Sky5 on the side of the road. The moped allegedly crossed Broadway on a rail trail before entering the road without stopping in front of the Jeep, according to witnesses.
One of the two victims later passed away after being taken with injuries to a nearby hospital. According to Gatcomb, the car’s driver remained at the site and is helping the authorities. The crash remains under investigation.
