The Allegheny County identified the teenager killed following a shooting in Mount Oliver Sunday as Andrew Lavaughn Smith. The incident occurred along Brownsville Road, just before 9:15 p.m. Police responded to the scene for a shooting report.
A short while later, officers discovered a 17-year-old boy with gunshot wounds to the head and neck. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives from Pittsburgh’s violent crime unit are currently investigating.
