A man was shot and murdered at the neighborhood Fraternal Order of Eagles, and police in Hurricane arrested a suspect early on Saturday morning. The incident happened Friday at Eagles Lodge No. 3951 at 495 E. 800 North. Police officers responded to the scene following reports of a possible shooting.
A man who had been shot was discovered by responding police. Police identified the victim as Sean Moore, 41, of Hurricane. According to HCPD, Sean succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
According to the HCPD, several witnesses told investigators that Bryan Hill, 55, had allegedly pulled the trigger before driving away from the scene in his car, apparently while intoxicated. Hill was formally named a suspect, and police managed to find him at his Hurricane home just before one in the morning on Saturday, where he was apprehended.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting were not immediately known, and it was unclear whether the two guys already had a problem or whether something caused them to fight.
