The Mahoning County Coroner who died after shooting on Youngstown’s north side Wednesday morning. The male victim was identified as 28-year-old James Merchant. The shooting occurred at a home on the 900 Block of Alameda Avenue. Police officers responded to the area for a shooting report.
When they arrived, authorities discovered the Merchant’s body in the SUV’s driver’s seat. At the scene, he was identified as deceased. Currently, the incident is being looked into as a homicide. Police do not currently have any suspects in mind.
