Multiple law enforcement officers are responding to report of Shooting at Wrightsville Beach, On Scotch Bonnet. The incident occurred on Friday August 18, 2023 at Scotch Bonnet Lane, Scotch Bonnet Ln, Wrightsville Beach. The details of the shooting are still emerging.
A social media user shared a post on Twitter saying – “Apparently two girls came out of a house in Wrightsville Beach in zip ties and cops chase the kidnapper(who had a gun) off the beach and down to market Street. Then there was a shoot out and then got him. Saying call 911 he has a gun.”
Police stated the investigation was ongoing and “further information will be released as the investigation proceeds.” The circumstances leading up to the shooting were not immediately known
