The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office are responding to an active shooter situation in Jacksonville FL. The incident occurred on Saturday August 26, 2023 at Dollar General, on kings road Jacksonville FL. According to sources, Ryan Palmeter of Orange Park went into Dollar General and Family Dollar and started shooting black people.
Officials have confirmed that a shooter murdered three individuals inside the Dollar General on Kings Road before turning his weapon on himself. According to reports, the shooter was equipped with a handgun and an AR-style rifle. On the side of the weapon, there were what appeared to be swastikas.
The details of the shooting are still emerging, but it is clear that this is a tragic event. There is no word yet on a suspect. The public is advised to use caution in the area.
