Edison Lopez Upper West Side superintendent, Alexandra Witek and 2 sons, ages 1 and 3 were found dead inside a New York City apartment Monday. Officers responding to a wellness check on Manhattan’s Upper West Side discovered the fatal stabbing of the young boys, as well as a 41-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman, shortly before 3 p.m
When police arrived at the residence, they discovered the door was locked and had to request the assistance of firefighters to gain entry. Officers were looking into whether the fatalities were the result of a murder-suicide. A police spokeswoman stated that the adults had neck trauma and the children had body wounds.
They were all pronounced dead at the scene.
