Wes Smith, Texas Christian University student has sadly passed away. Smith died in a shooting early Friday in the West 7th entertainment district of Fort Worth, police said. The shooting occurred shortly after 1 a.m. in the 3000 block of Bledsoe Street. Police claim that when they were patrolling the area, law enforcement heard many gunshots and reacted.
The dispatch stated that when they arrived, they saw a man laying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso. After being transported to a hospital, the man passed away.
According to the police, detectives discovered that the victim was shot while walking down the street. The suspect attacked a woman as he was fleeing. Police then located the suspect and arrested him.
