Doral school teacher, Maria Cruz has passed away and a third person was injured at a home in southwest Miami-Dade. The incident occurred at a home in the 9900 block of SW 165th Terrace on Friday. Multiple police officers responded to the area in response to the shooting. Upon arrival, Officers found a man with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and another man and woman with gunshot wounds. Another woman was found at the scene but was not injured.
Emergency crews transported the injured man and woman to Jackson South Medical Center in critical condition. Maria a math teacher at Doral Academy was later pronounced dead.
