Authorities are investigating after a deadly crash took the life of a Walker High Senior cheerleader, Blakeleigh Weems. Police responded to the area following report of the tragic incident which occurred at 12:50 a.m. at I-12 westbound in Denham Springs at Range Ave.. The victim was pronounced dead after succumbing to his injuries.
Crystal Aubert Barbazon shared on Facebook – “My sweet sweet niece and godchild Blakeleigh Weems. You were loved, you were amazing, you were what people aspire to be like. No words will ever be good enough to decide the joy you have brought to our lives.
We are forever better because you were apart of our lives. We will have a long road ahead trying to navigate the new path God has put us on but we will always keep your memory alive. Rest easy. We will see you again.”
