Casey Kennedy, 52, of Cheshire has sadly passed away. Casey died after a vehicle crashed into a school bus on Route 10 early Monday morning. Cheshire police officers responded to the area of Route 10 (Highland Ave.) and Stony Hill Road around 6:30 a.m. on a report of a two-vehicle crash involving a school bus.
Responding officers discovered a Subaru SUV and a school bus in the middle of the road.
The Subaru crashed head-first into the school bus, despite the bus driver attempting to swerve as far right to the southbound lane as possible.
The driver of the Subaru, Casey was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. He succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The investigation is ongoing. Our prayers and condolence are with the family of the deceased during this difficult time.
