Authorities are investigating after a Gunn high school student died after being hit by a train on the train tracks in Palo Alto. The tragic incident occurred n just before noon on Tuesday between California Avenue and San Antonio stations, according to Caltrain.
None of the 52 passengers on the train were injured, according to Caltrain. The East Meadow Drive grade crossing was closed for about three hours after the collision, according to the Palo Alto Police Department.
