Jet Korsaan, 17 died following a stabbing incident in the Groningen village of Winsum on Wednesday evening. Responding officers found the girl severely injured on AS de Blécourtlaan on Wednesday evening. She was subsequently pronounced dead.
The police have arrested a nineteen-year-old suspect from the municipality of Het Hogeland. According to police, the victim and suspect knew each other.
The police are investigating the background to the incident. The suspect is being interrogated about his possible involvement in the girl’s death.
