James Murray, CBC News Journalist has sadly passed away. James reportedly died from Angiosarcoma, a rare type of cancer. He was pronounced dead in hospital in Windsor, Nova Scotia. He was surrounded by his family which included his partner Joey and daughter Jessie at the time of his passing.

Dave Seglins stated on Facebook – “CBC friends – sad news to pass along. A stellar journalist, friend and human being.
“We lost a colleague and friend this weekend. James Murray died in hospital in Windsor, Nova Scotia. He was surrounded by his family which included his partner Joey and daughter Jessie.
James had a lengthy and varied career with CBC News and many people will be touched by news of his passing.”
Steve Futterman wrote – “My CBC friend and colleague James Murray died this weekend. He was a wonderful reporter with talents I so admired. In 2014, when he was doing a weekend shift anchoring CBC’s World Report, he gave me perhaps the nicest introduction I have ever received. It caught me completely off guard. I was able to tell him many times how touched I was. RIP James.”
