43-year-old Tracy McEvoy and her 15-year-old son William Allen McEvoy Jr. Both from Goose Creek passed away following a double murder-suicide. The suspect was identified as 43-year-old Nicholas Hegwein.
According to report, they all died died as a result of injuries sustained in the shooting. Police officers responded to the home located at Water Oak Drive around 9:43 p.m. Saturday for a report of a man with a gun.
Officers surrounded the residence as soon as they arrived, and hostage takers tried to speak with the the culprit. When Goose Creek Police SWAT entered the house, according to report, they discovered two adults and a little child dead from gunshot wounds.
According to police, the initial inquiry revealed that the crime was domestic.
