Authorities are investigating after a man and his two young children died in an apparent murder-suicide Tuesday morning. The man was identified as 34 year Brock Mater. Brock along with his 7-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter, were found dead during a welfare check early Monday afternoon.
Surprise police officers were dispatched to the scene after they received report from a woman who was disturbed when her childrens’ school called to report an unexcused absence. She said she was going through a divorce and that her children had been visiting her estranged husband since last Friday.
This investigation is ongoing and the reason for the murder suicide is unknown. Additional information will be made available as this investigation develops.
