St. Johns County Fire Rescue lieutenant, wife found dead in apparent murder-suicide: Lieutenant Shawn Yarbrough of the St. Johns County Fire Rescue Department and his wife, Andrea Nicole Yarbrough, were both found dead on Thursday.
Officers found them inside of a home in the Entrada Subdivision in St. Augustine on Thursday at approximately 9:20 p.m.
Police say Shawn Yarborough died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. They are calling Andrea Yarbrough’s death a homicide; she also died from a gunshot wound.
The causes of death were determined by Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Wendolyn Sneed.
SJCSO is calling this a “tragic isolated incident.”
