13-year-old Jayda Woods-Johnson was identified as the victim killed after Alderwood mall shooting. The shooting happened during an altercation at the Alderwood Mall food court near Seattle, Wednesday evening. The shooting occurred on Wednesday at Alderwood Mall located at 3000 184th Street SW in Lynnwood.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that deputies are responded to the scene for a shooting report. During the altercation, one teenage boy pulled out a gun and fired at the other group. However, the bullet hit an uninvolved 13-year-old girl who was not connected to either group.
The suspected shooter has been identified as a 16-year old male from Edmonds.
Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident to determine the motives and the events leading up to the shooting.
