Authorities have identified the victim of shooting in Ottawa as 28-year-old Adam Abdullahi Elmi of Ottawa. The shooting occurred at approximately 6:09 pm on Friday July 5th near Carling Avenue and Kirkwood Avenue.
Law enforcement officials and emergency crew responded to the area for a shooting report. Upon arrival, officers found the victim unresponsive with apparent gunshot wound.
The Ottawa Police Homicide Unit is currently investigating the shooting. Additional information will be provided when it becomes available.
