Jazz Basse Lachance, 18 was identified as the person who died after shooting in Irvine. The shooting occurred just before 6:10 a.m. Monday to Tyler Place, near the 261 Toll Road.
Police officers were dispatched to the scene after they received report of shooting. Upon arrival, the victim was locate with life-threatening injury. Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident to determine the motives and the events leading up to the shooting.
Dispatch officials say more details are expected to be released later today.
