Authorities are investigating after a man was injured following shooting in Tompkins Square Park on Friday morning. The shooting occurred on East 7th Street just after 9:50 a.m.
According to report, the man was shot at the southwest corner of the park, near the chess area. The suspect was described a, 5’6″ tall man, wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans and mask.
Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident to determine the motives and the events leading up to the stabbing.
