Authorities are investigating after two people were found dead in in apparent murder-suicide. The tragic incident happened near the intersection of Hammett Road and Highway 99 in Salida on Sunday evening.
Officers responded to the scene after they received report of an assault. Upon arrival, they found a man and a woman unresponsive in a Honda sedan parked on the east shoulder of the Hammett off-ramp
This investigation is ongoing and the reason for the murder suicide is unknown. Additional information will be made available as this investigation develops.
