Law enforcement officials are responding to report of shooting in Schaumburg. The shooting occurred in the area of the 800 block of S. Braintree. Police were called after they received report of shooting.
Officers found the victim suffering from gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. The roadway is closed in both directions on Braintree from Cornell Ln to Cambridge Dr.
The public is asked to avoid the area as the scene remains active.
Detectives are actively investigating.
