Authorities are investigating after a man reportedly stabbed his mother to death. The incident occurred just before 3 p.m. in the area of Green Tree and Coral Tree lanes. Law enforcement official and emergency crews were called to the scene. Officers found found a man as he was stabbing his 72-year-old mother to death
Irvine police later identified the suspect as Paul Parvea Montazer, 37, of Las Vegas. The victim was his mother, 72-year-old Parvin Montazer of Irvine.
Officers attempted to stop him, but he began rushing toward them with the knife. Officers shot the man. Both the attacker and the victim were pronounced dead at the scene. A knife was found at the site.
