Authorities are investigating following an apparent murder-suicide in in Wilson County. The tragic incident occurred on Sunday morning at a NSW building complex on August 12. Police officers and emergency crews were dispatched to the area for a routine welfare check.
According to preliminery investigation, 32-year-old DaQuan Marcato Jones fatally shoot 27-year-old Kiera Massenburg before turning the gun on himself. The sheriff’s office claimed he also shot their 6-year-old daughter Zoey Jones and two others, all of whom were taken to the hospital.
Investigation is currently ongoing. Nia Barner and Karen Massenburg are organizing a Gofundme. According to the Gofundme account, “The unexpected costs of arranging funerals for both Kiera and Zoey have placed a significant financial burden on the family, who are already grappling with the profound emotional impact of this tragedy.”
