Rowan Morey Missing – Rowan Morey, 6-year-old reported missing with father from Isabella County has been found dead. Rowan was found deceased along with his father, Michael Steven Winchell Wednesday morning in an apparent murder-suicide.
Morey was discovered in a camper on property in the 8000 block of East River Road in Chippewa Township with Winchell who appears to have shot his son before turning the gun on himself.
Rowan Morey’s mother reported her son missing to the police when after his father did not return him home when expected.
Brandi Morey Pols, mother of Rowan Morey, has posted the following statement- “Thank your prayers for a safe return. Unfortunately our fears were confirmed and Rowan has been found but is no longer with us. We do not have details at this time.”
Investigation is actively ongoing.
