Authorities are investigating Four people dead and nine others injured in a shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, on Wednesday morning, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. A lockdown was implemented in Apalachee High School.
Katie Phenix shared on Facebook that her dad David Phenix, a Special Ed. teacher and coach at Apalachee High School, was one of the shooting victims.
According to school officials, the school was put on hard lockdown after reports were received about gunfire. The suspect is now in police custody.
The school has been cleared and students are being released to their families. Students may be picked up from the school. Buses will also run for students needing transportation to their homes.
