David E. Frew, 92, of West Salem Township and David C. Frew, 51, of Sharpsville were identified as the father, son who died by gunshots Sunday in West Salem. The shooting occurred at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday in West Salem Township.
David E was pronounced dead at the scene. David C. was rushed to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. According to authorities, David E. Frew is the father of David C. Frew.
This investigation is ongoing and the reason for the murder suicide is unknown. Additional information will be made available as this investigation develops.
