Sonya McIntyre, elementary school teacher from a Port Moody school has sadly passed away. Sonya died at age 57 after her house was washed away in atmospheric river on Saturday. The incident occurred Saturday, October 19, 2024 just before 12:30 p.m. along Quarry Road.
Coquitlam RCMP officers were dispatched to the area on a report of a mudslide.
