It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vendula Wendy Rose, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, who tragically passed away while on a hiking trip in Cheaha State Park.
Vendula was last seen on September 24, 2023, when she embarked on a camping trip to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. She was expected to return on October 2, but after an extensive search, authorities discovered her remains near Cheaha State Park on November 30.
Vendula, a resident of Ohio, was known for her adventurous spirit and love of nature. Her kindness, compassion, and enthusiasm for life touched the hearts of everyone she encountered. She will be remembered for her zest for life, her joy in exploring the world around her, and her deep connections with family and friends.
We extend our deepest condolences to Vendula’s family and all who knew her. While she may no longer be with us physically, her spirit will live on in the memories of her loved ones and in the mountains she so dearly cherished.
