It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Connor Kasin, a beloved 12th-grade student from Massapequa, who died at the age of 17. Connor collapsed during a charity varsity ice hockey game in Bethpage, an event held in honor of a Syosset graduate who tragically lost his life in a car crash last year.
Connor was a dedicated and passionate player for the Long Island Sharks 18U AA club this past season, where he was known for his strong work ethic, sportsmanship, and commitment to his teammates. His loss is deeply felt by his family, friends, teammates, and the entire Massapequa community.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Connor’s family during this incredibly difficult time. We offer our deepest condolences to his loved ones, teammates, and friends, who have been left heartbroken by his untimely passing.
Connor will be remembered for his kind heart, his love for the game, and the positive impact he made on everyone who knew him. May his memory be a source of comfort and strength to all who mourn his loss.
