Stroudsburg Wawa – 17-year-old Garrett Sorrenti has sadly passed away. Garrett died on Saturday night November 30, 2024 following a shooting in Stroudsburg. The tragic incident was a loss that has left his family, friends, and the entire community in shock and deep sorrow.
Garrett was a kind, determined, and hardworking young man with a sweet soul and a bright future ahead of him. His compassion and goodness shone through in everything he did, and his potential was limitless. It is impossible to put into words the pain of losing someone so full of promise. This tragedy has not only stolen Garrett from us but has also taken from his family the joy and hope of seeing him reach his dreams.
Garrett’s mother, Karen Sorrenti is a double-widow and single mother. Through it all, she has remained a pillar of strength for her children and for our family. Yet no mother should ever have to bury her child. Our hearts are shattered for Karen, and we are hoping to support her during this incredibly difficult time.
In an effort to ease some of the burden, a GoFundMe was created to help cover Garrett’s funeral expenses and to offer a small measure of relief to Karen and the family as they navigate this heartbreaking loss. Any contributions will be deeply appreciated and will go directly to supporting Garrett’s loved ones during this painful time.
