Center Point shooting – It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Jaden Jones, a young life taken too soon. Jaden, age 20, of Birmingham, Alabama, tragically succumbed to injuries sustained in a shooting incident on Saturday, November 30, 2024, in Center Point.
Jaden was found in a car at the intersection of 23rd and 25th Avenue Northeast, after deputies were initially responding to a traffic accident. Despite immediate medical intervention and transportation to UAB Hospital, Jaden passed away just before 3:30 p.m. that afternoon.
A beloved son, brother, and friend, Jaden was known for his bright spirit, infectious smile, and the love he shared with all who knew him. He brought joy to those around him, and his loss leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of his family, friends, and community.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office confirmed Jaden’s passing, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing. At this time, no one is in custody. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward to assist in bringing clarity and justice to this senseless tragedy.
Jaden’s family and loved ones are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support they have received during this devastating time. They ask for privacy as they grieve the loss of their cherished son and brother.
