Oak Grove High school Lockdown HATTIESBURG, Mississippi — Oak Grove High School, a 7A high school located just outside of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, is currently on lockdown following a stabbing incident that occurred earlier today, December 4, 2024. Authorities are investigating after a girl was reportedly stabbed by another student during a confrontation on the school campus.
The incident took place during the mid-afternoon, when a fight broke out between two female students. According to sources, the altercation escalated quickly, and one of the students stab the other. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was immediately transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
In response, the school was placed on lockdown as a precaution, with all students and staff instructed to remain inside classrooms and secure areas while police and emergency responders arrived. Local law enforcement, including the Hattiesburg Police Department, has secured the scene, and the situation is now under control.
The suspect is also a student at Oak Grove High School.
