Samarah Lawson, a shining star in BMX community has sadly passed away. According to sources, Samarah reportedly died by suicide.
Sam was more than just a talented BMX rider; she lit up every space she entered. Her vibrant personality and infectious energy made her a friend to all. She had a unique ability to connect with anyone she met, instantly making them feel like family. Whether she was racing down the track, cheering on fellow riders, or sharing a laugh with friends, Sam’s spirit was undeniable. Her love for the sport and the people in it was boundless, and she was always driven to be the best—both on and off the track.
As a rider, Samarah was fierce, competitive, and relentless. Her passion for BMX was reflected in every race she entered, always striving for the top spot, and earning the admiration of younger riders who looked up to her as a mentor and role model.
Our hearts go out to Sam’s family—her parents, the Nguyen and Lawson families—and to her friends, who were like family to her. We extend our deepest condolences and offer our thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
