Waveland, MS – The Waveland Police Department is investigating a tragic shooting that occurred early Saturday morning, leaving one man dead and another injured.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire at a gas station on US-90 at approximately 1:33 a.m. Upon arrival, they found 19-year-old Ladaibrien Acker of Waveland lying in the parking lot with gunshot wounds to the chest. Medical personnel rushed Acker to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Ladaibrien’s passing has left his family, friends, and the community grieving the loss of a young life taken too soon. Known for his vibrant personality and kind heart, he was loved by all who knew him.
