Six lives were taken when a suspect, inspired by extremist ideologies, deliberately drove a pickup truck into the crowd before opening fire. Family members and the school communities of the victims have shared the names and remembered the lives of those lost in this senseless attack.
Among the victims were Drew Dauphin, a recent graduate of Auburn University, and Matthew Tenedorio, a beloved audiovisual technician for the Superdome. Drew, who was passionate about his studies and his future, was known for his warmth and infectious smile. His family remembers him as a young man full of potential, eager to make a difference in the world. His peers at Auburn University describe him as driven, dedicated, and compassionate—always ready to lend a hand or offer support. Drew’s memory will live on in the hearts of his classmates, professors, and loved ones.
Matthew Tenedorio’s life was one of service and dedication to his craft. A cherished member of the Superdome’s audiovisual team, Matthew was known for his professionalism and unwavering commitment to making every event he worked on run smoothly. He was a fixture in the stadium, always ready with a kind word or helping hand for his colleagues. Matthew’s contributions to his community, both at work and in his personal life, left an indelible mark. His coworkers, family, and friends will forever remember his selflessness and the joy he brought to every project and every gathering.
In addition to Drew and Matthew, the other victims of this horrific attack were beloved by their families and communities. While their identities continue to be confirmed, those who knew them remember them as vibrant, caring individuals who were taken far too soon.
