It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of 22-year-old Justin Hartjes, who died in a vehicle accident on the evening of Saturday, January 4, 2025. Justin was involved in a fatal crash when his vehicle collided with a tree on the 800 block of South Park Avenue at 10:29 PM.
Several witnesses reported seeing the vehicle engulfed in flames, with smoke and fire visible from the engine compartment and dashboard. First responders arrived to find Justin unconscious, with traumatic injuries. He was quickly removed from the vehicle and transported to ThedaCare Hospital in Neenah, where he was later pronounced deceased.
At the time of the accident, Justin’s one-year-old child was safely at their residence, several blocks from the crash site. The child was the sole occupant of the home when officers arrived.
Justin’s untimely passing leaves a profound void in the lives of his family and friends. He was known for his kind heart and his deep love for his child. His family requests privacy during this difficult time as they mourn the loss of a beloved son, father, and friend.
