Michael Gerard Albert, 45, of Lunenburg, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home on January 1, 2025. Michael was born on May 7, 1979, in Leominster, MA, and spent much of his life in Leominster and Lunenburg, where he became a beloved figure in both his family and his community.

Michael’s entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly from an early age. He graduated from St. Bernard’s Catholic High School in Fitchburg and soon after embarked on a career that would define his life. In the early years, Michael launched Mike’s Container Service, which marked the beginning of his successful business ventures. In 2015, he expanded his reach by founding Premier Basement Waterproofing, a business that quickly gained a reputation for its expertise and commitment to excellence. Michael’s company became known throughout New England for providing top-tier waterproofing solutions, but it was his larger-than-life personality and trademark slogan, “IT’S GAME OVER FOR WATER!” that truly made him a legend.

Michael’s impact extended beyond his business. He became a household name on 98.5 The Sports Hub, where his advertising campaign and memorable catchphrase earned him admiration and affection from sports fans across the region. His presence was not just a marketing tool but a testament to his charisma, work ethic, and dedication to serving his community. Thousands of clients, family members, friends, and employees admired Michael for his leadership, sense of humor, and unwavering commitment to his work.

Michael’s legacy as the “waterproofing guru” lives on, and his work will continue to benefit the thousands of people he helped over the years. Michael is survived by his beloved family and many friends, all of whom will miss him deeply. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date, where all who knew and loved Michael are invited to pay their respects and share in the memory of a remarkable man.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday January 10th at 10:00 am at St. Cecilia Church, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster, MA. Burial will follow in St. Leo Cemetery, Leominster.
